Making a difference one ball one child one village one country at a time. The Irish Herald spotlights Michael Mitchell, a man determined to change the world through soccer and exercise. Hollywood United Soccer Club - thinking global, acting local Hollywood United Press ReleaseManhattan Beach, Calif - August 2009  Hollywood United Football Club - thinking globally, acting locally - will be out in force for a charity fundraising event on August 15th in Manhattan Beach. Kevin Eagleston, the Hollywood United player who initiated the concept for the event was inspired by fellow Chico State University soccer alums and co-founders of Project Play's mission. The charity event featuring a youth soccer tournament will culminate with a Hollywood United celebrity match. The proceeds from the event go to Project Play Africa and local youth soccer club, South Bay Force scholorship program. Two weeks before Michael Mitchell joined the Peace Corps, his best friend told him to forget about packing clothes. “Just bring soccer balls,” he was told.
